Developing leaders, managers and teams across Australia

16 Rules of Management: Conclusion

I hope that these rules have been of some value to you. Remember these are my rules. You can and should develop your own. Feel free to borrow from these, refine them, or even dismiss them.

Managing people isn’t easy. Leading them is even more tricky.

Leading is often described as being a soft skill. In reality it is extremely difficult and challenging.

However, when you get it right, when you positively influence one person, or a group of people, the results can be fantastic, and enormously rewarding.

So to achieve my goal, to get the best out of people, while staying at my best I will need to apply these 16 rules, plus two of My Mum’s Rules: Delegate or Die! and, another that I’m pretty sure she borrowed from Shakespeare: To your own self be true!
